Every CastEngine Score is built exclusively from verified, confirmed bookings. Both parties rate each other simultaneously — neither sees the other's review first. Honest ratings, every time.
The rule
Only confirmed bookings can rate.
You can't rate someone you never worked with. Ratings are locked to a booking record — if there's no confirmed booking between two accounts, the platform blocks the rating at the database level, not just in the UI.
Simultaneous reveal
Both write. Both reveal. At the same time.
After a confirmed booking is complete, both parties have 14 days to rate each other. Neither side can see the other's review until both submit — they're revealed simultaneously. If only one person rates within 14 days, theirs auto-reveals and the other party permanently loses their chance to respond with a rating of their own. This kills retaliation and quid pro quo.

Anyone can see a profile's overall CastEngine Score and how many verified bookings it's based on. Full written reviews, category score breakdowns, and public responses are visible to active members and free beta users. The gate is enforced by the database — not by the frontend.
